B.P. Gennardo

Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, Gennardo started painting at the age of 16 to "quiet the noise".  Considered an Abstract Expressionist by some, and a street artist by others, he prefers not to put himself into any one category. He might be painting on a clean freshly stretched canvas or cardboard pulled from a dumpster.  Gennardo enjoys experimenting with new mediums and tools of application; paint glides from brushes, is thrown from bottles, or delicately poured from cans. Plaster, paper, stencils, cast off molds from a steel pattern shop, he enjoys discovering how things work and interact with each other.  Science, philosophy, and the connectivity of all things are constant inspiration.
